My Animation
Today I worked on a animation on goggle slides
I really enjoyed making it and using all the shapes to help me make it
I found it hard to think of what my shape or character was going to be
I found it easy to make it colorful
Next time I will make It longer

Way on how to use your device properly
Today I worked on sisomo.
I learnt that I learnt that Sisomo is sight sound & motion working together to attract the viewer's attention.
I really enjoyed making a weVideo animation
I found it hard to I found it hard to do voice recording so I did not do it
I found it easy to do the music
Next time I need to I will do voice record

moment in time writing
This is my moment in time writing about when I had to say my speech. Something that was challenging was that we had to write in the present tense. We also had to describe the feeling instead of saying it. Another thing that we had to do was to use paragraphs.
Speech writing
Everyone is seated and waiting for my speech to start
I am sweating like crazy. I start to get my cue cards ready and in order. I shake in fear. My heart pumps so hard it feels like a drum kit. I am the first person to speak today. Then Matua Dylan says my name “Joshua you’re up”. I stand up and take to the front of the classroom. I see all these eyes just waiting for my speech to start. I can feel the sweat on my palms as I wait until Matua Dylan says I can start.
I can hear silence as I am about to start. Then I begin. In the first two sentences I can see everyone look like they were enjoying my speech which made me feel good. Their response makes me think that most of the people like my speech. I am motivated to finish it now.
I’m midway through and everyone is having a good time. There are giggles everywhere around the class. It makes me think that my speech is really good. As I keep going, I can see all of these faces turn from not being interested into being really happy. They all want to keep listening
All of the feelings that I felt before just all disappeared

Letter home war writing.
This is all about a war topic that we picked I think at the beginning of the year and I chose to write about me pretending to be a soldier in war and write a letter home.
Dear Mum,
Life in the trenches is horrible mother, the mud is dark as oil. Everywhere I go I can hear gunshots as loud as 20 people yelling as loud as they can. I see rats the size of cats running as fast as they can run. Everywhere I go they run trying to find little leftover food. The food is terrible here, they give us dry crackers and its really dry, the corned beef is disgusting. Body lice, ticks and flies are everywhere and everyone is scratching or trying to whack all the fly ' away. I’m always on night shift with my pal Ben in the front line. One time we were on night shift we accidentally shot one of our own that was bringing ammo. Then we lied about it so we wouldn't get in trouble. Every time I go out on a walk me and Ben always have our guns at the ready just in case. If you are wondering, yes, I have been injured in the leg but it's getting better. One day when we were running out of bombs, this guy tried to use a tin can to make a homemade bomb. Well I better end this quick I think the battle is about to break out again!. Write back soon
Yours sincerely,
Joshua

Profile
Hi my name is Joshua. I go to Te Hapara School. I have one brother and two sisters. I'm half Samoan and half Tokelauan.
I love to swim and play sports. My favourite sport is rugby and I love playing rugby. I enjoy writing, reading and maths. I'm good at swimming. My goal for this year is to be a self directed leader by the end of the year at school. My goal is to be librarian of the year also at school.
I'm looking forward to the end of the year so we can have EOTC week which we do learning out of school which is fun. I’m also looking forward to camp because I get to go away for a couple of days.
Someone who inspires me is my mum because she's always there for me and she helps me when I’m down.
